We are delighted to announce that Peninsula Veterans has been awarded a grant from the Veterans’ Foundation. This will allow us to fully create our Veterans Garden for the benefit of veterans, their families and the wider community.
For those who are unsure of exactly who the Veterans’ Foundation are, here is how the VF’s founder and CEO, Major General David Shaw, describes them:
“The Veterans' Foundation has been set up to help fund charities and other charitable organisations that are helping serving and former members of the armed forces, and their dependants, who are in need. We are grateful for the public’s support of the Veterans’ Foundation and its Veterans’ Lottery, and we encourage you to spread the word.”
The Foundation raises its funds through the Veterans’ Lottery and donations. Since its inception in 2016, the VF has given almost £17 million to over 400 different military charities and organisations across the UK.
Many of them are small to medium-sized, tackling many issues for ex-service personnel, including the challenges of mental and physical injuries, homelessness, unemployment, children’s loss of parents while serving, and remembrance.”

Our sincerest thanks to the Veterans’ Foundation for this grant - if you would like to support the brilliant work they do, you can play the Veterans’ Lottery by subscribing on their website. Or check out their social media pages at:
